I'm not sure if you can get an oxford style on the Detroit last - have you checked with Carmina? You may well be able to, but I just can't ever remember having seen an oxford on the Detroit last, only bluchers.

They said they'd do any style on any last for the MTO event in NYC. I asked: What about wholecuts? "Yes". What about half-brogues? "Yes". So there we go.

I'd prefer to not do bluchers, if only because I prefer oxfords, but I do like bluchers, too.

The rain last is definitely too tight for me. The taper gets me. It's like the AE Weybridge/Cornwallis is one of the few shoes from them I just can't really get comfortable in.

Can I get the date of the MTO in September please? Are they doing it through the website or only through the NYC store? Thanks

Hey guys... really tempted to get a pair of the Soller cordovan boots shipped over here. To Sydney. Do you know if Aussie customs will give me any crap re import taxes? Don’t mind paying extra fees, but don’t want my goods to be waiting in storage, while those rocket scientists mull over things ?

Hello I just received my first pair of Carminas (PTBs on the detroit last) and I am very happy, they fit well and look gorgeous. However I noticed a small issue on the inside of one of the shoes. It looks like there is some leftover material which has wrinkled up. I wanted to ask you guys if this is common and nothing to worry about or if I should get them exhanged? Thanks in advance! :)

I think if its under 1000 AUD it'll get waved right through. If over...you'll likely need to pay a slight ransom. Anecdotally, I've had things imported that were certainly over the 800 USD bar but our "rocket scientists" didn't bother converting pounds/euros to USD, so it looked under. No complaints here

If they don’t affect the outlook and the function, then I think there is nothing to worry about.

I have an exact pair, congratulations, a great shoe. I wouldn't worry for the issue pointed out. Enjoy.
