So an update on the shoes posted earlier, Carmina has replied and sent me a discount code for the next order. 10%. Make of that what you will.
A wholly inadequate response. You would be wise to return the shoes for a full refund, and to spend some time thinking about Carmina’s response and how that squares with how they value you as a customer.

Chill. My last pair, received a couple of weeks back, were fine. Nothing to worry about.

I also posted one recently, about the wrong sole. So I feel partly responsible for your feeling.

But I can tell you one thing: I have 26 customized/MTO pairs from Carmina, and that one pair is the only time I have issue with them. The rest came out perfectly fine and I love them.

So, 1 out of 26 (just for MTOs) isn't that bad. In fact, out of all my Carmina, that pair is the only one with issue. So, the actual ratio (for is me) is even far less :)

That being said, I do hope Carmina step up their game a bit on craftsmanship quality.

I kinda understand that when they shorten the wait time to 30 days, some compromises might be made due to the rush. But that's definitely not the reason for all the mistakes.

Of course, all of us love the shorter wait time. But I think most of us can wait a few more days, or a week or two (many of us having to wait longer than the promised 30 days anyway I guess), if manufacturing of our shoes get more care.

Also, I do sincerely hope yours comes out alright.

I just want MTO to arrive, then maybe I will start worrying about QC. It has been a month and 5 days. But this is just me being impatient.

These recent QC issues could be the result of Carmina pushing out as many pair of shoes as possible with smaller work force during Covid 19.. quantity to make up revenues for downtime.

Wow! 26 pairs? You must be Carmina’s number one customer. ?

I’d be careful with such statements. As discussed many people will have received flawless pairs but the nature of the internet people don’t tend to log on to exclaim gratitude! That said, the pairs that have had issues recently were legitimately QC errors of judgement.
I await my pair in the coming days...

Right. What I meant was, that's how all his "reviews" go. The videos of him talking to us from his house are a waste of time, but occasionally unintentional comical; I think it reached the point of parody the time he showed himself shaving while wearing a tie and his New & Lingwood dressing gown, like some eccentric English duke. The ones where he talks to interesting people from the #menswear world are interesting, but he's a clunky conversation partner (seems to be improving though to be fair), and you'll still grit your teeth every time he interrupts and talks over the people we are trying to hear from.


Its quite hilarious how He makes people so uncomfortable in those videos especially the one with Joe From MyTaylor . Very awkward and vain.
