No, at least not the prototype I made up for myself, check my Insta from June 24: http://instagram.com/patlof Remember that there are several tanneries now doing Museum Calf. We offer it for both Carmina and Bonafé, but I don't think they source it from the same tannery. We decided to make the model (the one on Inca in the Insta pic) up in mid-brown Museum Calf instead (should arrive in September) because the Burgundy MC was so dark you could barely see them marble effect.

No.8 shell Oscar last sunbathing in an unseasonably lovely UK summer. They are 7 months old and the patina on the shell is coming along beautifully.

They have had a couple of coats of Saphir burgundy Cordovan cream in the 7 months I've had the pleasure of owning them. Otherwise a little drink of Reno now and again. Love 'em

The plum museum calf by Carmina is indeed oxblood[IMG]

I would rather stick with other shoe factories for museum calf for this first impression

Can anyone comment on calf vs shell sizing? Same last and size, will shell fit bigger? I haven't been able to try on a calf to compare.

Forest last, does any size down 1.5 size? Tried it on again and the toe box feels huge!

Shell fits slightly bigger for me on both Simpson and Rain. Half size difference.

You know, I never heard of this but my forest lasted wingtip boot is definitely very big and I felt like I should have sized down another half. My boots in rain last are much snugger in the same size.

My understanding is that all other things being equal, shell will often fit a little larger than calf, due to the fact that it can't be stretched around the last the way calf can.

Thanks guys. I agree with everything you guys have mentioned. Another consideration is blucher vs balmoral.

It's safe to say that if you're in between sizes, or going with blucher over bal, would be a good idea to size down especially on a generous last like forest

Is oscar last voluminous like forest? Tall toe box?

If a calfskin, forest lasted, balmoral shoe fits well then I think you could comfortably size down 1/2 on a shell, forest lasted, blucher boot

I would question that, though I don't have experience with trying on calf and shell versions of the same model for Carmina. If anything, I'd want to wear a shoe more snugly because the heel shaft isn't as high, thus allowing more heel slippage. At least with a boot, if there's extra room, you can wear boot socks and the heel isn't an issue.

The authority on this matter—I'd say from reading his posts—is Patrick from Skoaktiebolaget (@Leaves), who posted a superb last equivalency chart a while back comparing various lasts within each brand: EG, GG, Enzo, Carmina. Almost every popular last for each maker was compared. I wish he had chimed in with Vass lasts.

    right here, for now
Namor is absolutely correct in that opinion, particularly in the Forest last.
