Remember these in Boardwalk Empire?
normally I would find these dress shoes ugly, in a Joker sorta way. But these actually look pretty cool. i'm not bold enough to pull something like that off though
From the producers of the Frankenstitch Jumper, the creators of Crocolaide and makers of The Last Zugglet, we now bring you The Balligator GMTO by Skoaktieblaget. Based on a true story (maybe).
For details please check our thread: http://www.styleforum.net/t/338047/...fficial-affiliate-thread/3390_30#post_7268070
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
That is one ugly motherf##### .
Should've called it The Ballergator!
X-post from the Gentlemens Footwear thread to see if there's interest in this GMTO. So far, there's been positive response to the plum museum calf idea. I'm open to other ideas for leather or suede, but the two below are the ones that were most appealing to me after thinking about it for a while.
I was recently visiting someone in Barcelona and dropped by the Carmina store there. I was instantly drawn to this pair in the Alcudia last (sorry about the photo quality, it's my first time posting pictures here)
Beautiful! How does the Alcudia last fit? Is it similar to Simpson or Rain?
I cant wait to visit Barcelona in September
The Alcudia is narrow to say the least. Even tighter on the sides than the Simpson. I have a pair of A&E 9.5 US Strands. The Carmina pair are a 9.5 UK which translates to about a 10.5 US. The lenght is ok but I had some heel slippage when I was breaking them in. If I hadn't liked the color and the design of this pair in Alcudia last so much, I would have opted for something wider like the Rain last.
I bought that exact pair in the Madrid store They were very snug but after keeping some trees in them they've stretched just enough to where they're really comfortable.
I am smitten with that shoe. Not in suede. I'd love a grey/anthracite/cloud calf (shell?) option. Personally, I'd forgo the medallion too - but that's niggling.
I could be up for it...
Does Barcelona have a Carmina outlet or does the Carmina store run a sale during August? Thanks.
They have a Carmina store, but no outlet. Only sale I'm aware of is free or 1/2off shipping for online purchases through 31Aug.
The burgundy MC Carmin use is very, very dark, almost black. Just so you know.
