I know what material @bkotsko wants them in.....
Snuff suede chelsea MTO?
That would be a nice MTO
As much as I would love shell, I would worry about the creasing.
The vamp is the whole front of the shoe in a Chelsea, and this may not hold its shape all that well.
Then again.... maybe it would look amazing with extra rolls....

^^^ I have NEVER had a shell shoe roll like that. I can only surmise that these shoes must have been WAY too big for their owner.
My Carmina navy shell wholecuts after a great many wearings:
Looks like a Shar Pei!
Shar pei MTO chelsea? Guys?
That doesn't even look like a shoe...
Looks like the start of a sweet ass Snickers bar. But I wouldn't walk around wearing Snickers bars, either.
I have been working on an MTO Chelsea in grey suede. I was thinking of doing a bit more casual Chelsea for travel, weekends, etc.
My thinking is:
Chelsea in grey suede on Sollar Last
Reverse welt in natural edge trim
light brown Dainite sole
Elastic in either charcoal grey or navy
welt & sole color
That's exactly what I was looking for
Huh - a departure from what I normally wear but I could be on board with that. Very cool idea.
You guys should consider Simpson for Chelsea's, fit is more forgiving than balmorals instep wise and they are sharp as hell. I think my black calf ones are my fav pair of boots
I would be more interested if I had any clue how the Sollar last fit.
I actually had a chelsea MTO in mind which I spoke with Steve (Gentlemen's Footwear) about. I thought about more of a spring/fall/mild winter makeup.
This is what I had in mind:
Last: Inca/Forest (dosen't really matter)
Dark brown (chocolate) suede
Single Dainite sole
Separate names with a comma.
