I guess I'll give my question an other shot.

I have Carmina shoes on the Rain-last in size UK7,5 and Simpson-last in size UK8. I've understood that Bexley's shoe trees are a good compromise for these lasts. My question is, what size should I opt for? Size UK7,5 is not available at Bexley. Should I purchase 2 shoe trees in size UK8 or both in size UK7?

    Thanks in advance.

Never having paid any attention to the Rain it being wide (until now), I have no knowledge of the instep. Low/medium/high?

    This is sweet news!

If anyone out there bought the Cognac WWII Boot from Epaulet in 8.5UK earlier this week, please let me know if they don't work out. I was a day late on that one.

When I saw the post about the tan balmoral wingtip boots, thought I was sure I'd seen them, but I guess just in black: /www.shop.carminashoemaker.com/articulo.asp?idarticulo=5125068> I guess I need to give myself a refresher on posting, the link I posted isn't showing, and I'm making other mistakes. Sorry.

Can someone recommend a Carmina model that would be the equivalent of a US 9EEE in AE? I have a really wide foot, so unless it explicitly says EEE, I'm not sure what size or models I should be looking for in Carmina. Thanks!

My guess is that you'd want extra wide Rain, but that is only a guess.

I was in Toronto this past weekend and visited Leather Foot in Yorkville. Very knowledge staff and they helped me decided which Carmina lasts worked best for my high instep. Sadly the Simpson last is probably a no go for me. I also picked up some Saphir products for my Carmina cordovan bals so I'm gonna spend tonight working up a good shine. Overall it's a great little store and holding a pair of Saint Crispins in hand is an incredible experience.

I had a great experience too. They found that due to my low instep, Simpson would work best for me.

^ And the snuff suede wingtips on Farfetch are definitely on the Rain last.

    Edit to add some porn.

Got in on the balmoral train @ Skoaktiebolaget, could not say enough good things about Patrick and Gabe over there.

    The unboxing:

time to put a thin layer of conditioner on it and then wear it indoors for a few days. After that, it'll be seeing some Toronto winter.

    Thanks man.

Judging from your handle and location, I kinda know where you go to school. You probably need the furlined carminas in there more than the balmorals :D Hated the winters in Queen's.
