Well the fates were against me....he called me back and they weren't in inventory as he had thought in my size.

Probably for the best since I've done enough damage the last couple of weeks.

To answer your question, with the offer it would have come to $677 before tax. With shoe trees, that's a steal!

iirc you can add punching to carmina MTOs across lasts and models, so maybe something like this would work for the medallion

I really like the shape of Alden Plaza lasted boots. Both the wingtip above and the medallion boot below intrigue me but im not really sure what carmina last is equivalent

Those are sharp, I agree. Are those pics from leather soul? If you go by what's on their site the only wingtip is in the forest, and I don't think they make a plain toe (that you could punch) that isn't a chukka/Chelsea/jodhpur. Forest-

forest has a robust toe shape. not sleek at all, more rounded and pointed. plaza top left hand corner, forest bottom right

Both stores, though the selection at Palo Alto is limited in comparison to SF it seems. In my own size (10.5 US), this is a pic of G&G, Lobb and Kiton (all 40% off) available...I'm sure there are other models available in other sizes. Ask for James at either store in the shoe department. I just asked if he had any Carmina in my size as well and will post when I hear back. Sorry for posting this on the Carmina thread, but I figured it would be a helpful PSA considering the discussion.
