Come at me, Gerry.
That's chestnut. By bright red, I meant brighter than my wholecuts above
Then again, ruby shell looks pretty good ...
Awesome! I really appreciate it!
My personal preference is still for the "light cognac" in the original photo, whichis also roughly what Gerry Nelson received.
Diglett prefers the darker colour of his own boots.
I quite like this colour too, which is referred to simply as "cognac" on the Carmina website:
In fact I think this colour rocks hardest of all. Of course, YMMV.
That color is pretty accurate for the pair I ordered directly from them. Shame that the shoe bags don't fit.
Sure wish my wife would be like that. She bitches anytime I talk about wanting more shoes.
Great stuff, zippy!
Thanks, Gerry. They're both on the Queens last. Not a popular last but they fit me very well. I think they're going to be delivered today...can't wait!
Those boots are ruby. They might not look like it indoors, but they're way brighter than those wholecuts.
MTOs arrived today...model 803 on the Queens last in marron calf / leather sole and suede / York sole
I've found that to be true for all the shoes I've ordered off the website - the colour, not that the bags don't fit. To be honest, I haven't even tried fitting the bags on the boots yet so this may well be true.
I'll say it again - Wonderful!!
Ultra Shoe Trees also work quite well.
Those five-eyelet boots looked weird in the photo on the Carmina website, but look GREAT here.
Is there a easy way to tell what last the black captoe carmina shoe I got from farfetch is on?
Every pair of Carminas I have says the last on the box.
You can also look up the model if it's not stated on the box. Have you got the farfetch link?
E.g. http://www.farfetch.com/shopping/men/carmina-shoemaker-suede-loafer-item-10277061.aspx?storeid=9269 shows the Brand Style Id as 80191 under Composition and Care.
A search for "carmina 80191" brings up the Uetam penny loafer.
