You are so right namor [IMG]. It is great to finally have a great shoe store in Stockholm (or in Sweden alltogether for that matter...). Great selection, wonderful people. The only weak spot is that they do not have the EG Dover in my size (listening Leaves ;-)?)

Most of my boots came in smaller sized bags that just oh so barely fit, but my Skoak jumper boots came in marvelously big bags; it's actually a genuine pleasure to use them.

I have dark navy shell wholecuts and love them. I don't find them to be as veratile as, say a medium brown, but have no difficulty working them into the rotation. Rubi shell on the other hand... love the look but wouldn't have many opportunities to wear it. Not in a dress shoe, anyway.

This, I can agree with. That's why I'm fighting so hard not to get the Loden suedes from you. I want the brown ones as well but if I got the Loden, then the brown, I will have four out of five possible color combinations of the exact same loafer. And that's just nuts now.

    Update:
On a side note, I think it would be really nice if SF had a subforum for MTO's. Kind of like the Marketplace, or in the marketplace, where you can advertise current MTO's and people can respond to that thread instead of people having to constantly interrupt a thread meant for pictures instead of MTO's. Worth pitching?

I have three pairs of Carmina boots. One came with boot-sized bags, one with shoe-sized bags, one I can't remember. The ones that don't fit really don't fit.

I've had an easy time wearing Ruby in a casual setting (chinos + tee appropriate, or something similar), but I suspect it wouldn't be crazy hard to wear with greys and blues.
I really, really like this idea. Popular ideas would keep getting bumped and get more views. How about sub-forums for brands, much like marketplace has MC/SW/accessories? So the likes of Carmina and G&G don't battle for thread count.

I have been thinking about this, but came to the conclusion that some retailer should make a Kickstarter-like section of their web pages for people to organize group MTOs.

I messaged LA about it. He said there's not enough traffic in MTOs. I believe with all the brands compiled, there's enough traffic but I'm sure he's got unseen reasons. Separately, he's correct - there's no way in hell each brand has enough MTO traffic for a subforum.

I just like the idea of not having to interrupt a thread that's meant for looking at shoes, with constantly updating counts of people for an MTO. Examples.

    • Multiple MTO's always going on in Meermin
    • Multiple MTO's being discussed between multiple vendors here in Carmina Shoe Porn
    • Monthly MTO's going on in G&G's thread
    • Epaulets thread dedicated to Carmina MTOs is nice, but there's so many posts and so much crap going on in there, it's hard to follow it all.

Having a way to post, "We're thinking of THIS MTO on THIS last, through THIS vendor. If you want in, click (whatever voting box for yes, mabye if we changed xx) and we can keep the thread updated.." would be way better than interrupting a thread meant for a different purpose. IMO if this thread is OK for MTO talk, it should be labeled, "All things Carmina." \

Even if all vendors and makers are in one area, it's still easier to keep track and scroll through a list of MTOs to see what you're interested in. I don't have time to go through the G&G, Meermin, Carmina and Epaulet threads to see what MTO's are there. I've personally missed out on a few that I wish I didn't, both G&G and Epaulet's Carmina MTO orders.

    But that's just me.

Great idea, I'll see if I can set something up on our website.

I picked up a pair of these as well. They turned out great and Mr. Yoo couldn't have made the transaction easier and helped me swap sizes no sweat. Can't wait to get another pair.

Can't you just start a different thread?

I've read that's a no go. Not sure why. It'd still be a better idea to have it all in one place to browse through than just having a thread for each one. Think if there was no marketplace and people just made new threads in any of the other subforums. Ick
