I honestly cannot believe you found a pair of Carminas at TJ Maxx. How does this even happen!

Cant help you identifying them - maybe polo or snuff suede on rain last? There are a few other similar looking chiseled lasts that are less common. That's definitely one of the more odd stories I've heard in a while.

Thanks. This is surprisingly the second time I’ve found carmina in a tjx store. Found them in a Marshall’s in 2019 once also. Wasn’t my size so I returned them. Think they were $150.

I believe those are blake rapid construction, actually. Hand sewn likely refers to the upper (or at least the apron stitching on the upper).
Thank you:slayer:

The sock is fully covered the insole, so hard to tell whether blake stitch there:(

there's nothing wrong with blake rapid. they're recraftable as well. to the best of my knowledge Carmina doesn't make hand welted shoes and never has. but as far as blake rapid vs. gyw, I wouldn't let that stop you from buying this pair if you like them.

appreciate the explanation

I have some santoni blake rapid and love them, so it's not a problem.

Just haven't follow carmina for a long time, and see 'hand sewn' first time.

BTW the loafer is mine:cheers:

@CMT1 hate coming in right after your gorgeous jumpers and pics. Convo yesterday inspired an amaretto wear. Thx again for your help on these, my man.

Those look amazing as always!

I almost - almost - got excited when I saw Carmina's new custom weekend but was quickly relieved to see it was women-only.
