Welp… the builds are up for roasting 😅
Trying out pebble grain this year as well as the 80809 (but changed from Balitx last to Rain)

These are the grain leather we currently have in stock: tanned and brown

We also have these shades of karagrain: white, chestnut, brown, black and tanned

Quoting Carmina’s swatch post (above) from a while back for side-by-side reference…

I noticed two seemingly different shades of Chestnut Karagrain pictured on the web store (some leaning brown, some leaning camel/tan). Is Chestnut Karagrain different from Chestnut KaraNgrain? It could just be my tired eyes deceiving me, but please see photos below.

What last fits the best in wide rounded feet with low instep?
I am far from Carmina shops, so I would have to buy throught the internet.
I guess Oscar, but I am sure there are people here with experience.

Forest last is wider and round has a lower instep but is shorter then on other lasts. If your feet are truly wide the maybe forest eee

Maybe my feet are not really wide, but I think they are in the wide side. For sure, they are round and low instep.
In fact, I have bought recently one pair of Cobbler Union in last 312, and they are too high in the instep area. I needed tonge pads to fit them.

Dear all,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am considering the option of requesting a pair of parajumper boots in cordovan #8 with double sole and storm-welt but I am having doubts about Robert vs Oscar lasts.

I have other pairs with the Rain last and I'm very glad with it but considering a change for the new pair due to the military stile. For what I saw in pictures, Robert looks more refine (and I actually think that prefer it even if for a parajumper) but I would like your opinion on the matter and perhaps any picts of both in order to compare these lasts. Thank you in advance.

With best regards,

A.

I'd go with Oscar. Very well-rounded boot last.

The elbamat leather is lovely, soft, oily and thick with a lot of color variations despite starting out quite dark.

Thinking of a jumper boot in the same leather...

Just a side note, been thinking of a pair of bluchers in the loden suede for quite some time, and the current batch from Carmina looks quite dark and nice.

Elbamat seems very reminiscent to Tärnsjö leather which I have a pair being made by Enzo. So, I might hold off for now…

as to the current loden suede comment, I definitely agree it’s a nice shade of green which I prefer. I’ve always wanted a pair of Alden’s Davis boot and a pair of loden suede boots, so I might just replicate it in the 80780 model and use loden suede…..or the 80223.
For anyone that has a pair of boots with double leather rendenbach soles, is too stiff? I’m thinking of doing double leather and giving rendenbach a try.

No, it's not too stiff. Double JR is one of my favorite sole configurations
