forrest last suede boots that i returned
Does anyone have any pics of Carmina's Deep Red Cordovan? I am thinking of doing a balmoral boot in Deep Red but I have only come across one picture of yuketen's
If you mean the Color #8 cordovan, you can find some pictures here: http://www.lesbelleschaussures.com/bottines-carmina-en-cordovan/
No it's not the burgundy, it's more of a cherry colour like this shoe:
There is a reference to the Deep Red in this thread http://www.styleforum.net/t/277505/epaulet-x-carmina-mto-group-buy-for-spring-2012/105#post_5015092
Can anyone fill in on details and pics?
why did you return them?
i thought they were a bit too delicate looking for my tastes and i wouldnt wear them
Beautiful last IMO despite or because of luck of ruggedness.
I have the Ruby cordovan from Carmina. The other one is bordeaux, which is definetely not red and more close to Alden's #8.
I just received a pair of shell "bordeaux" monks straps. Sitting right next to a pair of Alden No.8. I would say the Carmina is just a touch more "rich" or darker, but very similar to the No.8s...
Thanks! Ok, It's called Ruby Red, I managed to find this picture originally posted by someone on SF i think:
The second from left is the one I meant. Looks much redder than the burgundy
trust me in person these were Mr. Burns type shoes
Not sure if you still need an answer to this, but I have one pair of Carminas on the Forest last and I would say the toe is NOT chiseled. It is a rather high toe box, with what I guess you could call a rounded point. You can get a good look from the side in the photo of the suede boot above. Here are a couple shots of my pair.
Balmoral on Simpson last. Very good fitting (to my feet) and nice leather.
^ Very nice. Am I correct in assuming they were MTO?
