If you are referring to Forest, I have the same issue but found that the EEE width is MUCH better.
Indeed, the forest last. I thought about that for a pair of chukkas but afraid of the heel slip?

Not at all. Same as standard leather choices.
Did you email them about the kudu or just asked if they have other options in the factory that isn’t listed on the website?

I’ve emailed them, asking if they had any leathers that weren’t listed on the site and it was a fail.

Just received. Not sure what to make of them...Don’t like to rant but...
Scuffs all over and the sole is bowed. Already had to send the last two orders back because of blatantly obvious defects. Carmina really do need to do something about their quality control.

You’re right, they do. These are slightly different suedes (one has a longer nap) and while it’s not obvious when wearing them, the difference is there. Supremely comfortable though, which makes up for it a little.

I’ve had this too. The nap on the back pieces is longer. They’ve obviously used cuts from two different hides. Bit cheeky and not something you’d expect given the price. But, defects aside, they’re so damn comfortable. For me the sineu last is hands down the best last . Supremely comfortable and lovely versatile shape.

The one on the left (your right foot) has longer nap?

Think most of my pairs have soles that are little bowed. Isn’t that normal? Have a pair with flat leather soles but they need a resole

Maybe dumb to ask, but did you brush the suede? Could just be that it got rubbed the wrong way. I recently bought a pair of EG suede that had spots like that and they just needed to be brushed the correct way

Probably. I’m guessing it’s just how they’re lasted. They’ll probably flatten out with wear. My main gripe is with the scuffs and using cuts from different hides. The scuff will probably brush out but the nap between the back pieces and front is obvious when holding them in your hand .
