Many thanks for the response. Is the instep on the sineu noticeably less than on the rain. Also, can you comment on the big toe area? The rain last is the only last that accommodates my big toes.
It’s hard to tell with full certainty on the instep since it’s a chukka, but it definitely feels like a medium/normal instep compared to the Rain that feels loose there on me. The big toe area feels similar, it’s more the outside of the shoe by the pinky that has more curve and less chisel than Rain.

Many thanks for the info ?? I’ve got a pair of chukkas coming that are MTO. Fingers crossed they fit. So far, all my shoes have been rain. Perfect all around just a tad more formal. I’ve tried the forest , which also would have been a very good fit if it had a smidge more room around the big toe.

Nice! What are the makeup details? I think Sineu is an excellent chukka last.

I’ve requested the 3 lace chukka, the 10027. It will be lined and in loden suede. Have seen loden suede in the flesh. Amazing. Always a gamble buying shoes on an unknown last. But sounds like sineu should be fine. I’ve got a reasonably high instep along with large big toes.
are the rain and sineu the same length?

Not sure on the length exactly but there’s a Rain vs Sineu diagram on here somewhere that may help with length. Instep should be good since chukka lacing can be flexible. I basically tilt my ankle upward and tie as tight as it’ll go flexed and then am good for the day.

Received my Amaretto order today, but unfortunately now have to deal with my first Carmina QC issue. There is a large, deep scratch on one shoe, and a smaller but still noticeable scratch on the other. Email sent, not sure what happens from here.
Sara was quick to help. The welt and scratch issues are too much to overcome so I’m returning my Amarettos. I am now even more excited to receive color 4. Please post pics of your Amaretto makeups so I can live vicariously. The shade was indeed stunning.

Got the diagram but there seems to be a mixed view on their usefulness. Generally seems to be only a very rough guide.

Looks like Carmina saved the best for last! I now have 5 out of 5 MTO models and I am thrilled with the result. Here’s a look at the last arrival:

- Forest last
- Bourbon cordovan
- U-tip boot
- dark brown edges and double Dainite sole
- Brass hardware
- full leather insock-footbed (makes them the most plush boots I own).

The bourbon cordovan used on this Carmina boot is mesmerizing. It almost looks marbled in some light. Pardon the ****** pics. I’d take them outside but it’s freezing and snowing, so this’ll have to do for now.

Good god those are beautiful. Great design. I’ve been wanting to do a U-tip blucher in Armagnac and this is awesome inspiration.
