Got my two pairs of boots today. Black chelsea on the inca last and black chelsea on the rain last. The rain lasted one was a mistake, it was supposed to be brown, so those are going back.

However, as someone who owns a pair of Forest jodhpurs, I was very surprised to find out that the rain last just doesn't work for me.

I'm a snug fit in the Forest jodhpurs as 8.5, but when moving to the rain last, the instep is a bit more roomy which is perfect, but there was way too much heel slippage in 8.5. If I go down to 8.0 on the rain, the instep will not be enough. So I can't ever wear this last!

Funny enough, I am not a fan of the rain last at this point anyways. I much prefer the forest/robert/inca. Interesting though, would never have expected it.

Need some advice though - I have Forest lasted Jodhpurs in Tan Vegano, Inca lasted Chelseas in Black, and am on the lookout for a Dark brown Chelsea.

What last should I look into if I don't like squared off lasts? I like the Forest and Inca and want something similar. These shoes would be more for special events, business, and dates.

I currently use a pair of Crockett and Jones Chelsea V as my daily shoes for running errands, foul weather, etc. They are too bulky/rounded for what I would want for the aforementioned uses.

    Thanks

Tried them in shop. Similar fit to Inca but with a chiseled toe.

    Hi

Thanks for the response. I usually wear shoes on the Rain last. Any idea how Costitx compares to the rain? My understanding is that the Rain is more generous than the Inca, although happy to be corrected. I’ve never tried on shoes on the Inca last.

I'd say quite similar to Rain, I'd definitely choose the same size in both lasts. Having tried Inca but not purchased any shoe in that last, I'd say Inca has a narrower heel than the Rain but wider forefoot. Instep is very similar.

More green shell going up on the outlet from the looks of things. Considering my pair was more or less flawless, as was 007bonds, Carmina is clearly just moving some excess stock. Would be a great pickup for anyone interested (when sizes get updated).

Do you remember if the Costitx last was elongated? It looks elongated in the photos.
    Thanks in advance.

Not quite. A little more than the Rain, perhaps.
