For any of those who have Meermin do you guys wear the same size in Carmina? If not how do the sizes differ?

Mainly interested in the Rain, UETAM and Inca lasts and how they compare to the hiro and elton lasts.

Glad I could be an enabler;) I was actually looking at those earlier today. They would look great on the Forest last.

I suppose my question would be why a bal boot if you wish to wear them casually? A derby boot would surely be more versatile in that context?

I would generally choose a dressier derby boot versus trying to make a formal bal boot more casual.

But if a more casual bal boot is really what you are after then Forest would be a fine choice. I firmly believe people should get what they really want.

The other point I would like to highlight in Carminas´ boots is that the welt is cut too close to the upper. Their appearance could be sleeker (similar to a Blake shoe) but I prefer a wider cut (not skiing outsoles like some EB) to minimize impacts. No much protection. Overall people love the boots and I enjoy them a lot.

    Today´s shoes.

I find the Forest to be very similar to rain maybe a little less room in the toes and I am not familiar with the Detroit

Ok thanks I will stay away from the Forest last I guess. I bought a few Inca shoes (website says they have more toe room then Rain) but I can't wear either as there is not enough big toe room. Sure the Inca has a longer toe box just not wider website description is misleading.

Does anyone know if the New York store has a direct email address? I'm looking to get a pair of chukkas and was hoping they might have more than just the rain and forest I see online
