Just received my pair of custom shoes and found out the outer sole is not the correct color I ordered. Any idea how to approach this? I'm assuming Carmina will still accept returns on custom shoes if they don't match my original order specifications? Looks like Ill have to wait another 45 days of production =(
That is magnificent, but Inca last was to tight in the toe box for me unfortunately.
Really? What other lasts do you have?
Rain, Robert, Detroit, Soller all in the same lengths and all fit me fine.
Inca was just to tight in the toe box for me.
Nice! To me, I feel Rain tighter in the toe box than Inca.
Does anyone know if Carmina is using higher quality leather for their MTO Models? I noticed some of them having a longer description, including statements such as 'french Cognac calf from Tanneries D’Annonay' or 'using the finest British suede from C.F. Stead'. Not sure what to think of it though

Agreed. I can now go read about the tannery where the leather for my brogues came fromIt's nice to see Carmina answering questions here and being transparent from
where they source their leathers. Many makers don't like sharing these types of information.
Good to learn about the special attention on leather cutting in made to order shoes.
Good afternoon, that is a very good question @insy. We use the same leathers for our pairs in stock and our MTO's. It is true, though, that we pay special attention to the cutting stage of production of MTO's and use the best parts of the leather for these pairs. Carminas are generally made from leather coming from Tanneries D’Annonay, Horween and C.F. Stead. You can always contact us to know the exact provider.
