Just got in 2 pairs of MTO that I made in early October. I went to the Madison Ave store 3-4 times over a 2 week span to try on different lasts and designs and to see what I like. Must say I'm very impressed with the overall quality, final result and how they came out. I was getting concerned because they were 7 weeks late and with their seemingly simple excuses, but the shoes came out better than I imagined.

Does anybody have information on the "Goodyear Flex" construction? The claim is that it is more flexible. Online resources are very vague on what the difference is in construction and really how much more flex do you get? Are there downsides?

Meermin basically switches the usual cork filling with memory foam. I haven't been able to find information about what Carmina's version of Flex Goodyear Welting consists of.

looking at my first pair of Carmina and hoping for some help with sizing

If I wear a size 10½-D in each of the Red Wing 'Iron Ranger' and Alden 'Barrie' lasts, what size would you recommend in Carmina's Oscar last.

Thank you for your help.

Really digging the grain characteristic and smell of the leather. Had trouble figuring out what type of boot/shoe configuration to try it on but quite pleased with this outcome

It's really great. The "new leather smell" on Russian grain is special. I've got their work boot offering in it. Found a matching belt on Etsy. Thinking one day I'll get some loafers during the custom weekend in said grain. For some reason I keep thinking horsebit loafers in it would be amazing.

You picked a real winner man. It’s a very unique leather, that I really am partial to, and I really need more pairs in this leather.
