I ordered my first Pair of Carmina Oxford Rains and they arrived pretty creased with a scratch and spots where they tried to paint it black with a permanent marker. I‘m pretty disappointed since i only heard good about Carmina. Also i tried Uk11 which was to big for like 1cm, so i bought UK10 and it was too small that my barely slipped into it. So i will probably try 10.5 next. Here are the pictures that i mentioned.

Might be hard to show in these photos but I can’t tell what you’re trying to show in the green circled areas. Do you think there is something wrong with the stitching? I don’t see it. Also can’t make out the areas that you think have been covered with a marker — by the way why exactly do you think that is what was done?
All in all I don’t see much to complain about based on these pictures, with the caveat that the issues may be better appreciated in person

Its hard to show but it shines kinda purple metallic. Exactly the same Color appears when u use a marker on Black leather or something coated.
so the creases are normal on the back?

I don’t think that is creasing in the sense of the leather having been flexed repeatedly. That isn’t a place that creases readily, unlike the leather over the top of the foot. I suspect the grain of the leather is a little loose in that area. Is it a problem? Depends a bit on how visible when the shoes are worn. If on the inside of the shoe I would personally not worry too much.

Looking at those shoes, I think they are fine. Carmina is a solid brand however if you want a level of finishing that is top notch, it costs far more.

Wear them and enjoy them!
