Thank you, they are built on the Z416 last.

I asked Ana Santos to compare the 234 last with the 416, and this is what she answered me:

Last Z416 has a little bit less instep. There is less room.
Width Z234 for size 8: 100mm
Width Z416 for size 8: 95.5mm
Still, the last Z416 is considered with a good fitting.
According to technician expertise, the last Z416 has more room for the toes. That’s why it might fit a bit better than Z234.

Just received a pair of 1842 from the Herring sale. Beautiful patina and love the 401 last!

Maiden voyage on the 1842s today. Thought the 401 last would be similar to the 316 however it is actually much roomier and wider at the heel

My first pairs of Carlos Santos shoes. 1198 handgrade oxfords in a rich braga patina and 6307 single monks in dark coimbra patina with a matching belt. Absolutely love them so far.
