A while ago, I was happy to purchase the CS1942 model, so let me share a few pictures with you.
A video is found on the company's Facebook.

The box, which contains a tin of cream, a shoe horn and a key ring. Very nice touch

The certificate:

Sleek profile, indeed quite agressive, with blue shoe tree:

The blue sole, very nice

This is one nice pair of shoes. Where did you get it from? Is it a special edition?

I got it from a shoe shop called Klijsen Schoenmode, in the Hague in the Netherlands. This specific model happened to be in their sale. It is indeed a special edition from Carlos Santos. I am not sure if related to some anniversary, or as tribute to the craft of shoe making.

The style is called CS1942, and is on last 387. I think it is the same model/style as 9713. The 'special' about this model are a couple of things:
- a special patina colour and handgrade handcrafted level of finishing (not sure if correct name, but level higher than their normal line)
- handgrade sole in blue
- presentation box with a tin of polish, a metal/leather shoe horn and key ring
- lasted shoe trees (also in blue)
- only 150 are made, and the shoes come with a certificate :)

All in all a nice package.

cheers, Wienand

I will be making a GMTO of the same model in base or handgrade line (that one is from Handcrafted) soon for 299$. Here's the picture (Patina color is up to you).

Thanks for the information. How did this last fit. I tend to go down for 234/333/316...

all three are generally roomier (234 is debatable for some) but 387 is more or less true to size and snug

The last fits me pretty well -- it is quite long last, not unlike Crockett&Jones' 348 last.
I have a pair of boots in 234, in the same size (8) -- I guess half-a-size lower could have worked if the instep was higher. (if I am not mistaken, 234 has a somewhat lower instep) but so far no issues.
For 316 I had a pair of oxfords in size 8.5, which was really to big (with insole and with tongue pad) so I sold them. I also have a pair of oxfords in 234, in size 8.5: given the lower instep it does fit. But it simply doesn't fit nicely so these are collecting dust.
With 333 I have no experience.

So comparing 234 with 387: 387 is for sure snugger.

Nice to see you here too Andy! Never seen that model before anywhere, very unique I wonder who and why made it for their shop and you found it!
Lucky eBay find a couple years ago, when I was looking for Carlos Santos and white. They were still NiB. The guy who bought them didn’t fit them or something. So they were still all wrapped up in the original packing, shoe horn, and box.

Following the joy of having the CS1942, herewith a few 'shots in the wild and open'

The colour of the shoes shows up quite well in these pictures. I have not treated them yet with anything, but will probably use somewhat medium/darker brown cream to keep the shoe a bit darker.
As can be seen from the lacing, the shoes fit well, and the small 'v' should disappear. Arch support is also pleasant.

If time permits a visual comparison with the CJ348 will be made, as I think both lasts are comparable.

Thanks for looking.

Any pictures or well worn Carlos Santos boots or shoes? I can't find any 6 month or a year in reviews on CS.

I am considering buying the American Long Wing in Tobacco Suede (last 437), I own a pair of CS MTO boots that I presume are in 8866 last in 10.5UK (picture lines below).

I use:
- Churchs 10.5 F in 173
- Loake 10.5 F in Capital last
- Meermin 10.5 in Hoak and in Hiro (a tad snug)
- Alfred Sargent in 99F (a tad snug)

I wonder if any member can help me. I live in Peru, so returning them due to a sizing issue will be costly. Thank you on advance.

Hello, since nobody bothered I will try to help! I also sell the longwing as a MTO custom order. It fits very true to size.

I would take the same size you have on the Loake Capital and Meermins. If your 234 Jumper Boots from Carlos Santos fit fine in UK 10.5 then the longwings will fit as well, maybe a tiny bit more snug around the forefoot.
