I got a wool blazer labeled Carlo Barbera Co Blancs--Biella Italy super 120's. Can anyone tell me anything about it. I can't find references to Carlo Barbera clothes--just fabrics.

Carlo Barbera only offers clothing under their Luciano Barbera label. Several other makers use CB fabrics and will label them so. Similar to Loro Piana

Carlo Barbera is probably the best Italian fabric there is. Made the old world way in a region that has mostly gone high tech. For very soft lambswool and saxony woolens, you cannot do better.

Chuck Franke (peace be upon his name) once wrote a description of his visit to the mill, and from what he said, it sounded like their production methods were more old world than any of the Huddersfield mills.

Excellent-- thanks. It is a very soft textured wool.

I think Moxon uses similarly old world production methods.
