1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thanks a lot; both of you have been a great help.

Although I'm happy with how far I've gotten (big departure from the initial OP post), I feel I'm not quite "there" yet ("there" is a very vague term, both to me and anyone reading this). I love the company, the people I worked with, but I honestly don't see much mobility.

Regardless, friends are shitting on me for being on the fence about this decision while they're still trying to snag interviews/jobs. In this economy, I can't really complain, but I think my "always look for better" mentality is becoming more of a hindrance than a positive as of late.

Ha you should be careful with some of the info you share with people. It's none of their business so now you've let the cat out of the bag and they responded negatively (beyond harmless ribbing), I wouldn't bring it up again. However, I should add that whining about good problems is annoying.
