So I've had it for a week and it is starting to break in nicely. It is a combo of cordovan and saddle leather and I was wondering if I should follow the same procedures for the cordovan as I would with cordovan shoes or leave it alone. Also, the saddle leather has a glossy kind of finish and is picking up almost zero indigo (which I am happy with) so I'm wondering if all of their saddle leather starts with that glossy coating or is unique to this wallet and requires a different type of care.

Thanks for any help. Mike

It's leather. Leave it alone and it'll break in.

That is one nice looking wallet. I certainly can understand why you'd want to keep it in as good a shape as possible. I got a line from mizanation (I think he's a member here, as well as the other SF) to use EZ Cleaner by Lincoln to clean this stuff. He got the info from his shoe repair friend, so I that's what I'll be using. There's also a whole thread about RM wallets:

maybe you can tell from the pics if the saddle leather on those is anything like yours. Cordovan's tough though, so even if you didn't put anything on it, it'll last a good long time. Looking aces all the way through.

Did you get this off their website? Did you have to know Japanese? 200db?

Update us (me, really) with occasional pics as to how they're breaking in.
