I just bought the Earnest Sewn jeans linked below. I love them, although the low rise takes a bit of getting used to. One thing, the low rise makes Little Stu look like he's only about 2 inches long, dammit.

Anyway, my question: What do you guys recommend for breaking these in? I'm going to assume I should wear them on and off for a few months without washing them, and when I do wash them, do so in cold and hang dry. Am I correct?

Assuming the jeans are those pictured, the jeans have been washed and predistressed; there's not really any point in wearing for any length of time without washing. Like pretty much all jeans, you probably want to wash them inside out and hang dry, but they shouldn't require any "breaking in" process.

If I'm missing something and they're actually raw or one-wash, strike everything I said.

Those are definitely washed, your jeans will never change.

They'll fade over time as you wash and wear them, but like all washed jeans (including raws that have been worn and washed down), they're well beyond high contrast fads unless you basically starch and wax them to simulate sizing.

So, basically, what Sauce said. They're already broken in. You can wash infrequently if you want to. I'd recommend washing once a month or so, unless you wear them very sporadically.
