I have no doubt this has been discussed before on here in some capacity - I am new as a member. BUT surely men should not wear cardigans or woolen vests...I would rather feel cold or wear thermals...

Not cool in my opinion...thoughts? I needed to vent that!

Let me take the opposite side and say that men shouldn't wear sweaters with sleeves.

Wait, what? You must be blind as men have worn these forever and a few years ago they had a boom in the streetwear catagory. I see no problem with cardigans, they were designed as men's clothes to begin with anyway.

This is one of the stupidest things I've read here recently. Enjoy your hypothermia.

On that note,

I just gotta vent that I HATE, nay, absolutely DETEST with every fiber of my being, man wearing pants. I mean, what the hell? Surely it's a fad that's gone on long enough after 400+ years!

It intrigues me to know the reason for your burning hatred to cardigans and woolen vests. Were you forced to wear one as a child? Did you detest Mister Rodgers and what he stands for? Do tell.

I don't like the style of cardigan with a deep v-neck and 3-4 buttons at the bottom. I understand them on older folks, but I thought they were sort of goofy when the hipster set adopted them for streetwear use a few years ago in what was clearly an ironic way. I think they went from outdated to jaded in a Williamsburg minute. That said, if worn under a sportcoat in a more traditional fashion, I can relate to them better.

That said, there's nothing wrong with sweater vests. And there are other styles that have been given the "cardigan" moniker, like full zip-front sweaters, and I love those.

Child Services lady: Why are you wearing a barrel?
H. Simpson: For your information I have misplaced my pants.

ps - I love my Armani and Lagerfeld cardigans.

I dislike zip-front sweaters. I can't get behind the visible and sharp metal.
