Yesterday, I was not quite careful enough at lunch, and got some nasty greasy sauce on my khaki wool/cashmere suit jacket.

I went at it with my brush when I got home, but a nasty brown grease spot remained.

So, I used some spot remover called "Carbona" It's some sort of solvent, probably similar to that used in dry cleaning. You apply some Carbona to the spot with an applicator brush, let it dry, then brush it.

I'm happy to report that it worked very well. I daubed the spot, rubbed it a bit with the applicator, repeated this a couple of times, and the spot was gone. I was worried that the solvent would leave some sort of visible ring when it dried out, but this was not the case. The spot is gone, the suit looks as good as new.

    Just thought I'd share.

    Kai,

I would be interested in where to purchase Carbona. Thanks.

    Thank you for the information.

I wonder how many men walk into Walgreens wearing Vass shoes...perhaps quite a few over the next few weeks.
