How good are carbamide buttons and what are the advantages and disadvantages of using them?

How do they rate next to plastic and horn buttons? Is carbamide just another kind of plastic?

They seem significantly more solid than most plastic buttons I have seen - are they really more durable?

I also think that they look better, but they are rare in China for some reason. They are quite expensive here, and I am wondering if it is really worth it to use them instead of normal plastic.

Not the sexiest question in the world, especially considering Carbamide seems to be a type of urea. Am I using the worn word for this type of button?
