Can't tell if these jeans are right for stacking

Hi all,

My standard operating procedure has been for the dressy slim jeans to have an inseam of 30" and my less dressy, throw on a sweatshirt with them to be boot cut jeans with an inseam of 32". I've become frustrated because my 30" inseam jeans seem to shrink just enough to make me look like an idiot. I went out and bought the same jeans (Tommy slim stretch jeans) in 32". The problem is that I'm not used to stacking and I can't tell if this is working or if I look like a complete idiot. I already assume that I cannot wear these jeans with oxford shoes, but I'm wondering how you even think they look with boots.

I also bought a pair of more casual slim light wash jeans with tapered bottoms (pictured below) and I wonder if the taper on those makes the stack look better. That is, I can buy the dark jeans in a tapered inseam.

I gotta say, as I get more into jeans, I feel more confused as ever - especially since I look like a total idiot when I cuff or roll...

Thanks for the reply.

So do you think the dark jeans would work with oxfords as well, or does the length require boots?

And as for the Mezlans, man, I love these boots. I get complements every day I wear them and they are extremely comfortable

Personally, I would cuff those jeans at that length - especially with boots.

YMMV

Maybe I’m just a rube, but I don’t even think about those things.
Why not get them hemmed if it’s that big of a deal.

Personally, I like the light denim with the light brown on the shoe, I think it fits. It's just a bad wash and quality for the shoe. Need to upgrade the denim.
