I find the S90 in full auto mode takes overly saturated and orangy photos, that's my only complaint though.

Can always wait for the new one to come out and then buy the old.

Even if the reviews are mixed...the s90 should be selling at a pretty big discount.

Here is a run down on Sony's backlit sensors (Canon use Sony sensors).

Supposedly, they provide cleaner images at higher ISOs.

The S90 is capable of recording video at 640 x 480 pixels. The replacement is rumoured to be able to record video in HD format - 1280×720 pixels.

I don't consider these to be huge improvements.

If you're in the market, just grab the S90 as it is so cheap. It'll still be perfectly capable of taking great photos long after it is superseded.

You'll probably have to wait for the new version to be released at this point.

The one in FS was not a great deal. You can pick them up for $5-10 more online and get a new one.

the weird thing about reselling digicams is that they fetch huge prices on ebay even when used heavily and out of date. i sold a refurbished canon g10 for $395 (while the g11 was out and i already bought one for $365). I just sold a 8mth old LX3 for $344 on ebay (but it was in pristine condition).

USED s90's are still going for over $300 easily on eBay even till now.

the last thing you want to do is sell cameras on forums which can blatantly lowball you (like SF or any photo forum).

It is like there are a bunch of idiots out there who still think everything on ebay is a good deal and are unaware of any stores that sell cameras below MSRP...
