So I went into Best Buy today to check out the S95 and the SD4500. The screen on the S95 is leaps and bounds sharper than the 4500. Its not even close. The 95 also felt nicer in the hand as its a bit taller and less wide. Lighter too.

So, I'm now the proud owner of an S95. The 10% off coupon certainly didn't hurt. Now for a memory card.

If only it were a real rangefinder. I'm perfectly happy with a 35mm equiv. lens, but I don't know about EVFs and contrast AF in the real world for Leica-style shooting.

Fantastic imitation of classic rangefinder, design-wise . But when it comes to the technical details of this upcoming camera are underwhelming.

I've been using the s90 for the past year. I'm far from a pro, but for a p&s, I think it takes some great shots. I would like to make the jump to a DSLR sooner than later...but the portability factor is hard to beat. Can't carry the average slr in your briefcase unfortunately.

For anyone using the S90/95, you need to get the Richard Franiec custom grip in your lives.

It makes such a difference.

Which case do you have? The grip doesn't go any higher than the lens so it shouldn't make a difference...
