    Hello,

I have a Canali suit that was left to me by a relative. I don't know where it was purchased and don't have a receipt. I would like to try and find out what the retail price of this suit would have cost.

The in-pocket label has the Posizione, Ordine and Cliente section cut out on both the jacket and the trousers.

I'm just wondering why would these be cut out?

    Thanks for your help!

    Ok, no replies...

Thought it might have to do with buying from a discount store or outlet.

I think no replies because its one tough question! I have never seen this on any suit. hopefully this reply bumps the thread position and someone give you a real answer.

    Thanks, for the reply.

I had read online somewhere that if it is sold at a discount, the store cuts the label or draws a lone across with a marker, so that people can't return it to a store for a refund at original price. Which makes sense, just thought someone would be able to confirm this.

I had called a Canali store and they couldn't tell me how much the suit would retail for without the Posizione number. I did think it was strange that this info was cut out in the same way on both the jacket and pants.
