I bought a Canali shirt off ebay. The shirt seems fine other than the buttons. I have 4-5 other Canali shirts of various style and none have buttons this slim and cheap. The thickness of the button is materially thinner than any other Canali button (and Canali does not necessarilty use the thickest buttons out there!) The material & style of the shirt is similar to a couple of other lower end Canali's I have from department stores. But those buttons are about twice the thickness. The best Canalis I have have approximately buttons 3-4x the thickness of the buttons on this shirt I bought off bay.

he bottons thread also looks like it was looped over a couple of the holes instead of crisscrossed through all 4 button holes like most higher quality shirts. Has anyone ever heard of a Canali with super slim shirt buttons? Would it be unusual for someone to remove all the original buttons and replace with cheaper ones?

The ebay seller had outstanding reviews so i do not want to name and disparage anyone with facts that I am not sure of.

I appreciate any feedback anyone might have. Any Canali shirt experts out there?

My first post into the forum has been a failure.

Did I post this in the wrong place? Is this an old topic that has been covered before? Boring to people?

As I wrote in my intro a few days ago, I am new but have already learned

a lot from members in the last month. Even if this doesn't get any response, thanks for all the information so far! It has been fun reading how much the members know on style and clothes.
