Canadian Suit Deals

I've been reading with envy given the recent flurry of activity at the RL Woodbury Outlet store. Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think we see this kind of action in Canada other than the Boxing Day sales on the day after Christmas. To complicate matters I live in Saskatoon which is certainly not the centre of the universe and does not have the variety and selection of high end suits and certainly not the level of discounts experienced in other places. Besides I don't care how much someone discounts a Hugo Boss suit.

I know there are some fine menswear shops in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto & Montreal but I am wondering if they have something other than 10 to 20% off sales. Besides, it is not always feasible to jump on a plane and fly to the sale. Does Uomo in Montreal have major sales? Does Henry Singer in Calgary do the same?

I'd like to know what others do if they are looking for the likes of Borrelli or Isaia. I can't imagine Holt Renfrew having a blowout on Isaia or maybe I'm wrong. Sure there is EBay but it is hit and miss and there are times when I just don't have the ability to be up at three AM to make sure someone doesn't outbid me. I've done some bespoke and MTO done in Montreal with great results but you have to factor in the cost and time for three trips to Montreal for fittings. It ain't a day trip if you know what I mean. I occasionally see some great deals on the SF afiliates but it comes down to available size, colour and style.

Maybe I am just blowing off some steam and now that I stop to think about it there is always Moores and Tip Top!
