Can you tell if these are Goodyear or Blake Rapid Stitched?

I really don't want to pull the insole as they seem to be glued on. By the way, these are Ferragamo's. All shoes below have the hidden channel stitching on the soles.

This one is from the Tramezza line..

The Tramezza line consists of both. Hard to tell by looking at them. I’d guess Blake as they want to keep a sleeker profile.

Thanks but looks like that they have their own name based on the article?

Makes sense. Applies to the three pairs above?

Another question, has anyone her availed of Ferragamo’s recrafting services? I was advised by the store that it will cost around $100. Not bad with hidden channel stitching if so.

??? Sounds wrong. I mean, AE charges $125.

Keep in mind SF does not make shoes. They are likely made for them by another Italian shoemaker. Don’t know which. It’s unlikely they have the facilities for shoe refurbishing. The guy at the SF shop probably thought you meant cleaning or reconditioning the leather.

Your best best is an independent cobbler, like B Nelson.

My understanding has always been Tramezza = Goodyear, Lavorazione Originale = Blake but maybe it is not safe to make that broad statement. In the few pairs I have, that does hold true.

Closely inspect the shoes and try to find the seam where the welt and sole meet. Here is a photo of 2 pairs of Ferragamos I own. Left pair is Tramezza, goodyear welted. Right pair is Lavorazione Originale, blake stitched. This pair has a wheeled edge that gives it a bit of a lip, but is not an actual seam.

Thanks! So if there is a separation or line between welt and sole, one can conclude that it is Goodyear welted. Doesn’t a Blake rapid stitch have a similar appearance from the outside?

edit: would love to see full pics of your ferragamo’s as we rarely see them here.
