I bought some Allen Edmond carnauba wax polishes, and polished my shoes today... Cloth clean, brush, polish, brush again. They don't look much different. Maybe it's because I haven't worn them so much. But how do you polish your shoes so that they will become very shiny?

After your final brush, use a chamois or clean cotton shirt and buff. Viola, shine!

How much wax are you supposed to put on? I usually just put a TINY drop of water, and then a little bit of wax. Enough so that I can see the dullness of the color in an angle, but not enough so that I can see the little swirls of application pattern.

And when you are buffing, do you put a little water on it too or no?
