Can you help me identify this old pair of Florsheim shoes?

Sorry I didn't put any text in the orig. message.

This is a pair of Spanish-made Florsheims. They appear to be from the 50's or 60's based on general feel and markings, but the style is completely foreign to me. They have Western-style stacked heels and very thin leather full soles. The cap toes are pointy (almost like cowboy boots) and both the cap toe and the sides have accents of what appear to be ostritch skin.

They are lined in grey and have the "reg. us. pat. off" markings in the heel area. They have 5 eyelets. The shoes came from a local thrift store. They were just my size and very comfortable, I couldn't pass them up, even if I have no real idea where I will wear them. They look like they could be 80's shoes, I really don't know. The style completely baffles me.

Please see the photos. They were shot with a bad camera phone but that is all I have. Please let me know what you think.
