I need some help guys. My current jeans are on their last threads and I need to find my next pair of jeans to wear. I'm extremely picky so I was wondering if you guys could help me find a good candidate for my next pair? I've been searching and cant seem to find something that exactly fits the bill...

Budget: $250
Cut: Bootcut, I'm also down for straight leg as long as the hem isn't smaller than 8.5"
Wash: Non-Dry
Fit: Fitted, but only moderately slim. I like to be fairly comfortable in my jeans.
Rise: Medium Rise, 10" or 10.5"

I'm really trying to stay away from repros, dry jeans, and skinny jeans. I'm down to try more obscure or new brands as long as they'll stand up to consistent everyday wear. I think the 5ep low down bootcut in dark worn would be to my liking if it only had a lower rise and slightly bigger legs.

Any suggestions?

Earnest Sewn would probably be perfect. Depending on how they fit you, the Fulton, Hutch, or Hemingway would all work, with the Fulton being a pretty regular straight leg, the Hutch being a relatively slim (but not tight) bootcut, and the Hemingway being a relaxed bootcut. They come anywhere from dry/one wash to very distressed.

Yea I've already owned the Hutch and the Fultons. I thought both of them were a tad bit too skinny, especially the fultons. Something about small hems that I really dislike.

if you can find them, check out some nudie baggy bjorns - they really arent that baggy, i have one pair sized down twice and they fit slim(er), but im sure if I went down only one size I would have a perfect relaxed fit

ES Hemingway has a big ol bootcut and you can get it off of STP for about $65 if you can work your waist. I (true 36" waist) measured my 34s at 19" at the knee and 21" in the hem (in the process of taking that down to about 19.5). Stretchy denim, they were skin tight when I got them but are now a comfortable fit. Best washed denim I've ever had.

Never tried the Hutch for comparison, but it is what it is.

The Hemingway should suit you well then. You could also check out Diesel. All washed denim, and just about the most diverse range of fits I've ever seen from one maker.

I immediately thought ES as well. I suggest the Jakimos. Boot cut, but not at all tight.

Barneys did have Regular Ralfs in Basic Dark Used for ~89 or so during their Winter sale. You could call around and see if there are any left.

Oh the difference between the hemingway and the jakimo... They are both boot cut but i beleive the Hemingway has a wider cut leg, where as the Jakimo leg is slimmer at the top.
