Can you alter a fully lined to a half/quarter lined suit?

Had a made-to-measure suit. Love it, and the dimensions. But I wanted half/quarter lined and they gave me fully lined.

Is this possible and worth a fight with my tailor (a top guy in Singapore), or should I just sweat it out?

It should be possible. However, whether a tailor wants to do tedious work for not much benefit....

If you requested half/quarter lined then you should have every expectation of getting it. It is definitely doable, but it is more work because the exposed seams have to be finished on the inside of the suit.

live with it.
if you are a regular customer, maybe the tailor will give you a small accommodation on the next garment.

It will be very expensive if done properly.
as the seams inside should not be left raw.
this requires taping the seams.
this is a lot of work

Other than taking in the sides of a jacket or hemming the legs of a pant, I've found other jobs, while possible, to be more taxing than they're worth. Just buy another jacket.
