Can this brown shoe be worn with jeans?

+1, they are fine, but a wingtip (longwing) will be better.

And unless the colors are way off in that pic, that's not Glenfiddich in that glass

Interesting, I expected more negative comments than seen so far.
For those that suggest a wingtip, do you suggest a blucher wingtip?
A balmoral wingtip i really dislike with jeans personally. I just cannnot see a balmoral with jeans. I find the look a little bit to pushed, or even a bit metrosexual

Some of these pictures from that particular website are definately photoshopped. This can be seen easy by comparing multiple pictures of different shoes. Sometimes they boost some colors to make it look nice. I do not mind it though. But that might be why the whisky looks slightly different than you guys are used to

In my opinion there is an age factor at play here - under 35 don't wear those shoes with jeans (only an age "guide" this is give or take a couple of years).

Also depends on the cut at the bottom of the jeans - straight cut would be ideal.

Well, besides looking completely dried out, the wrappers are mighty rough looking.

I prefer plain toe bluchers, wingtip bluchers or a double soled norwegian split toe with jeans. The shoes in the pic look fine. Search for pictures of the Ralph Lauren Darlton. That's a good benchmark.

Those shoes with jeans are fine. The cigars look fake--bands in the wrong place, printing looks bad, lumpy, bad wrapper.

Better with wingtips, but OK. I think it's laced shoes with jeans rather than loafers. Loafers go with slacks. And loafers with jeans can look like the wearer is a jeans pretender.

Looks fine sans the cigar in one hand and the glass of alcohol in the other. Would look even better with a cigarette in one hand and a bottle of Heineken in the other.

I tend to agree with your suggested shoe styles. After a lot of thinking I decided to go with a chukka boot. Similar a little bit to the derby plain toe, but just even a bit more informal to me.
