for 40 bucks i thought about grabbing these...

just wondering if people think they can be brought back to life a bit. although the seem to have a bit of character as a casual shoe with the age left on them.

also, can anyone tell when these were made?

thanks
B

Those look like mangled shell cordovan, and I don't think there is much hope of straightening them out. But who knows, it could just be really bad lighting. My C&J cordo boots could probably look like that at a bad angle with no trees or feet in them.

thats what i figured...i mean theres no gouges or real scratches just the deep grooves that have formed over time prolly because they never had trees in them.

BTW, they are very well worn with a lot of discoloration in the insole. But with a new (unbent, that being the problem that leaves the uppers looking bad all the time) sole and insole recrafting they might look really good. I'm not sure if Alden offers that though.
