Really, I think the blame for why Japanese people are so incredibly fucked up and weird has to do with the fact that two atomic bombs were dropped on they're country. All that radiation seems to have made they're already different culture become so warped and ******* out there that it's no wonder they have such weird **** for television and entertainment. This is pretty tame compared to the fucked up game shows as im sure everyones had their dose of those. ******* strange as hell nonetheless

命: inochi　means "life," but not life like duration, but quality (like "sanctity of life" as opposed to "life span.") That one is a different word. And "kun" (they call the boy Inochi-kun) is the suffix for boys, as opposed to "san."
