so I'm watching this movie and it's like... so ******* what? am I supposed to cry or something? we should strive to have ethical farming/raising standards, but if the choice is between 'letting people starve' or 'make the chickens happy'.. the chickens lose.

this movie sucks harder than supersize me

Just watched it last night.

Here's what to take away from the movie: 1. Government can't do much to punish meat packing plants and other food processors for not preventing bacteria getting into food supply 2. You WILL get sued for criticizing many foodproducts (meat, vegetables) publicly 3. One company controls 90% of the supply of soybeans in the U.S. and is working very diligently to control the whole supply chain vertically 4. Health care costs are so high and people are so fat partially because we eat so much refined carbs (most of which are from corn) 5. The government can't do much about this 6. Fecal matter from dead cows, pigs, chickens (not to mention diseased and/or rotting organs) are getting into the food you eat - not just meat but vegetables thanks to the supersized production process.

Thank god I can afford to shop at farmers markets and buy free roaming chicken eggs.

I can't tell if you're being serious or not.
