Hey guys,

I'm relatively new here. I recently purchased this Alexander Mcqueen suit for a deep discount on Mr. Porter.

http://www.mrporter.com/product/303061

Typically I wear solid Navy and Grey suits to work. I work in Finance. Most of the other guys I work with wear conservative boxy JOS BANK suits. I guess what I am wondering is this too daring to wear to work? It seems great quality and fits very nice.

Thanks!

I would have no issues wearing it. Test the water and wear it this Friday.

How many more questions are you going to ask about this suit? Just grow it away and decrease the surplus suit population.

I would never wear this suit, on any occasion!

The jacket alone - maybe...if everything else was at the cleaner :)

I couldn't wear this at my office, but we are pretty conservative.

I would wear something like this, sure. But I work in a creative environment. And even at that I'd not wear it to a client related meeting unless I new the client and the situation very well and thought they would understand it.

Didn't you answer your own question when you stated nobody else in your office would wear it? Unless you are 'the superstar' of the office you are going to look like the 'fool' of the office if you step way out from the norm.

Choose wisely.

It really depends on your work environment. For some reason, I would only wear this suit on a sunny day.

I take it the other men at your level usually wear dark blue and dark gray suits. If so, save the suit for sunny Fridays in the spring and summer. Cream shirt, navy tie to minimize the boldness. Sky blue shirt, dark brown tie when you're feeling bold (save that for summer Fridays when nothing important is happening). It will look good.

Great for weekends and social. Be not afraid of the casual suit.
