with blue/indigo jeans it could be a little bit a blue buzz kill in my personal opinion

but with washed/lighter/bleached , etc denim and a white t or something it could work. all depends on the jeans but I think a normal standard indigo color would be too blu..

Depends on color of jeans. You'd look like a Smurf if you got super blue jeans.

Of course you can. Although it won't work with every jean dye. I think your darkest denim will definitely work with it...

Agree with the above, make sure the denim isn't too matchy in color or texture. Or you could go Full Jil and wear with some really brightly colored or white denim.
