1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

....although I wouldn't give it as a gift. It's definitely good as a "back up" scotch at home.

    Cheers!

For future reference, please don't buy speysides for people who actually like scotches. The Glens are all insanely boring scotches, if I want that flavor profile I'll drink a much cheaper blend.

I would go with a highland somewhere in the middle. Smoky and peaty, but mild enough that they won't turn people off.

I've been really impressed with Aberfeldy 12 year. It's right at $40 here in Indianapolis. However, when I was in DC last month I couldn't find it anywhere, so I'm not sure if it's easy to find.

I like the Lap cask strength, roughly 50 bucks in New Hampshire, but I know alot of people who hate it...

One more reason I love Japan, $50 for a bottle of Scotch??? They'd have to be offering hand jobs as well or it better be some 25 year old the shiznitz or better.
