Can I come close to reproducing the look of this Etro Prince of Wales sport coat look with a Hart Sc

I like the look of this Etro sports coat, with gray jeans, shoes and belt buckle; and was wondering if I could reproduce the look with a typical slim cut Hart Schaffer jacket with the traditional Prince of Wales plaid (which I have). The Hart Schaffer has the same basic colors without the crazy thick lines of the Etro.. yet something tells me that the wool, structure of the Hart will not come close to the style and flair of the Etro, and the whole attempt will fail.

Here is the Etro:

And here is the Hart Schaffner:

Is there an alternative to Etro, as the jackets are typically too long on me. I am a 38Short,

Thanks for your opinion. Much appreciated.
