The other night we were out with some friends. 4 people in total
Restaurant = 3 bottles of French reds. Not cheap restaurant & not cheap wines.
Back to theirs for a last bottle = Another French red. Tasted decent, but I dont know the brand / vinyard / etc...
Thing is that I woke up with the ugliest hangover I have had in a while. To say that I can generally hold my own with the booze is an understatement, so the equiv of one bottle of red over the course of an evening with a massive meal should not have fazed me, but I was fuzzy headed, exhaused and just downright wrecked yesterday.
Looking back I feel like this happens sometimes with reds. I dont know if its just my reaction or if its something inherant to the drink (impurities, sediments, etc...)
Does anyone else get disproportionately bad hangovers when drinking red?
