If so how can I get it to work

I realized that all of my jackets are black and it doesnt seem to look right with my brown shoes.

With a black jacket, yes, but not with a black shirt or sweater.

I personally think you can wear brown shoes with a black shirt or sweater. If other people would just accept it I wouldn't ever even think about it again.

Since black and brown are both earth tones they can be worn together. I've worn all black with a brown belt and boots and it looked just fine. The only comments I get when I do this is what's with the hit man look.

I'd say no. Black with black. Brown with anything else.

My answer is yes. But I must also say it gets harder to pull off the dressier you get.
