Can anyone tell me what this type of pattern is called? (Suit Fabric)

Hello,

I was hoping someone could help me with the name for this type of fabric pattern? I ran across it while looking at fabric wool suit samples on iTailor...

I am not sold on ordering from them at this time but I do think I like this pattern for a subtle twist on a solid gray business suit. Thoughts on the pattern and it's versatility for a work suit?

The quality of thw picture is too low for me to see the details of the weave but I think I can discern a herringbone pattern.

If it is herringbone I prefer it on heavier fabrics like tweed or when used in overcoats. I also like it on white dress shirts. I wouldnt get it for a suit but thats me personally.

I agree, looks like a herringbone but the superimposed dot pattern seems a bit odd to me. For a grey work suit with some additional surface interest/texture, I'd also recommend looking at sharkskin/pick-and-pick, nailhead, birdseye.

Thank you for the feedback folks. I had thought the "dots" in gray herringbone would be a subtle point of interest but I guess in reality it may just be a bit odd. I will look at more traditional sharkskin/pick-and-pick, nailhead and birdseye materials. Perhaps a charcoal with a very subtle windowpane as well...
